Electrical basics review including:
- Voltage, Current and how to measure it, AC and DC, Resistance.
- Inductance and capacitance in AC and DC circuits.
- Effect and calculation of voltage drop.
- Working with multimeters, current clamps, and shunts, including hands-on exercises.
DC-based renewable system (off-grid):
- System architecture and battery.
- Calculate cable size and measure voltage drop.
- Overcurrent and overvoltage protection.
- Safe operation and installation.
- Convenient session measurement of PV power.
- Grounding and overcurrent protection.
Grid connection system:
- Different types of generator inverters (asynchronous and synchronous types)
- Safety.
- Effect of power factor.
- PV Installation Guidelines and Installation Standards.
- Connection and wiring standards.
AC Security:
- Grounding methods and their effects.
- Safe operation and installation.
